We are happy to bring it to your kind notice that the Central Library, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal has organised a Virtual Editorial Workshop on ” How to Publish Scholarly Books and Open Access ” in collaboration with Taylor & Francis on Saturday, 29th August 2020 at 11:00 am.
Session: The session will offer a glimpse into different processes involved in writing a book with a global publisher including formulating book proposals, timelines, copyrights, royalties and other important factors. The second part of the presentation will cover the effective writing of journal papers, journal selection, peer-review. It will also touch upon publishing ethics and Open access (OA).

Speaker: Dr Gagandeep Singh – Publisher Editorial, Taylor & Francis Group
Dr Gagandeep Singh is currently working as a Publisher in Engineering and Environmental Sciences for CRC Press, Taylor and Francis Group in India and is in the organization for close to ten years now. During these years, he has published close to 300 books in varied areas and signed close to 500 books. He also leads an editorial team based in India focusing on Math, Statistics, Chemical, Biological Sciences and Medicine. He holds a PhD in Forensic Chemistry and Master’s in Forensic Science and has published 25 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals with one patent and national award to his name.
